The European Society of Preventive Medicine (ESPREVMED) is a not-for-profit Fellowship organization dedicated to facilitating research and advancements in the field of preventive, predictive, personalized and participatory (P4) Medicine. Researchers and clinicians bearing the title Fellow of the European Society of Preventive Medicine (FESPM) are internationally recognised experts.
“Intellectuals solve problems, geniuses prevent them.” – Albert Einstein

ESPREVMED works at the intersection of basic research, clinical medicine and public health with a focus on chronic diseases (noncommunicable diseases, NCDs). ESPREVMED scientifically addresses chronic diseases, a better understanding of the underlying mechanisms and causes as well as technological advancements to transform medicine from a reactive discipline to a pro-active and preventive one. Contrary to other preventive medicine entities and professional societies which draw largely from public health, ESPREVMED is based on a systems medicine approach that translates into P4 Medicine.

The future of medicine is pro-active medicine that addresses the underlying mechanisms and causes of diseases, especially in chronic diseases that are now the primary concern for all health care professionals.
